Fox Monday No. 2 w/ 'House' 'Lie to Me' in 4th

FOX’s Monday dramas returned with originals episodes and posted ratings gains last night:


HOUSE delivered a 3.7/10 and maintained its season-long title of Monday’s highest rated drama among Adults 18-49 and the highest rated program outright among Adults 18-34.  Compared to its most recent original, last night’s HOUSE was up +3% (vs. 3.6/10, 10/18/10) among Adults 18-49.

At 9p, LIE TO ME delivered a 1.8/4 among Adults 18-49, up +13% from its last original two weeks ago (1.6/4).

Competition
Note: ABC and CBS could be inflated due to NFL games in Pittsburgh (ABC) and Cincinnati (CBS).
ABC’s Dancing with the Stars (4.2/10) was up +5% from last week’s telecast. With DWTS running into its hour, Castle followed with a 2.8/8 at 10p.

On CBS, How I Met Your Mother (3.5/9) was down -5%, Rules Of Engagement (3.1/8) dropped -9%, Two And A Half Men (4.4/11) dropped -6%  and new comedy Mike & Molly (3.7/9) grew +3%. At 10p, new drama Hawaii Five-0 (2.9/8) dropped -3% week over week and was -12% below its prior average (3.3/9). Through eight original telecasts, Mike & Molly (3.7/9) and Hawaii Five-0 (3.2/9) are down -24% and -20%, respectively, from the network’s comparable performances last year (The Big Bang Theory: 4.9/12, CSI: Miami: 4.0/11).

Following the NBC News special Decision Points: A Conversation With George W. Bush (1.7/4), The Event (1.7/4) and Chase (1.2/3) both delivered their lowest ratings so far, down -15% and -8% from their last originals on 10/25/10, respectively. Through seven telecasts, The Event has yet to post an episode-to-episode improvement (3.6 > 2.9 > 2.4 > 2.2 > 2.2 > 2.0 > 1.7).
