Airing the first installment of THE X FACTOR “Judges’ Homes” round last night, FOX won its fourth consecutive Thursday night among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34, Adults 25-54 and Teens and beat the #2 network (CBS) by +16%.
THE X FACTOR posted a 3.6/10, down -10% from last Thursday, but will likely go up a tenth or two in the finals. In addition, THE X FACTOR was the night’s highest rated program among Teens. (Note that last night’s rating was likely affected by the various baseball-related delays/cancellations this week — FOX did not air its regular primetime programming on Mon-Wed due to baseball playoffs).
ABC’s Charlie’s Angels (1.3/4, up +8%) ranked fifth in its 8p hour, while Grey’s Anatomy (3.4/9) was up +10% from its series low. At 10pm, Private Practice (2.4/6) closed out the night up +14% but on par with its prior average.
Following an original The Big Bang Theory at 8p (4.4/14, down -2% to its season low) and a repeat at 830p (3.7/10), CBS’ new drama Person of Interest (2.7/7) gained +4% versus last week. The Mentalist finished the night down -7% at its season low (2.5/7) and through four weeks is down -19% vs. its comparable performance last season (2.6/7 vs. 3.2/9).
NBC delivered its lowest rated in-season Thursday night ever with regular programming last night (1.9/5). Following Community (1.7/5, up +13%) and Parks & Recreation (2.1/6, up +5%), NBC’s The Office (3.2/8) was flat and matched its lowest original rating this season. Whitney (2.0/5) dropped -13% and delivered its lowest rating to date at 930p. Closing out the night, Prime Suspect (1.3/3) also fell -13% and posted its lowest rating to date.
