Rain kept NASCAR’s premier event, the Daytona 500, from taking place on Sunday (2/26) and left Fox scrambling to fill time. Now the network is reworking its Monday evening schedule to accommodate the race.
If Mother Nature cooperates, the Daytona 500 is now scheduled to begin at 7:02 pm Monday (after it was clear that the track would still be too wet for a noon start). Fox had planned to air new episodes of “House” and “Alcatraz” on Monday.
Sunday’s postponement was the first in the 54-year history of the Daytona 500.
