The fourteenth cycle of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars opened with the franchise’s lowest premiere ever (3.5/9), down -34% from its comparable performance on the same premiere night last year (5.3/15 on 3/21/11). At 10p, Castle (2.4/6) was up +14% from its most recent telecast, but could go down in the finals because of a one minute over-run of DWTS in its rating (vs. 2.1/6 on 2/27/12).
On CBS, How I Met Your Mother matched its season low (3.4/10, down -6% from its most recent telecast), while 2 Broke Girls (3.4/9) delivered its lowest rating to date, down -11% from its most recent original (3.8/10 on 2/27/12). From 9-10pm, Two & A Half Men (3.8/9) and Mike & Molly (3.2/8) were up from their season lows (+6% & +10%, respectively). Closing out the night, Hawaii Five-0 (2.5/6) was flat with its last original on 2/27/12 and matched its season low.
On NBC, The Voice (4.5/12) delivered its lowest rated telecast of the season for the second week in a row, down -13% from last week (5.2/14). At 10p, Smash (2.3/6) matched its season low, down -4% from last week (2.4/6).
