Airing against The Academy Awards on ABC, FOX aired encores of its ANIMATION DOMINATION favorites and ranked #2 for the night among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens.
THE SIMPSONS (1.7/5) kicked off the night at 7pm, followed by AMERICAN DAD (1.6/5), another encore of THE SIMPSONS (2.2/6), BOB’S BURGERS (1.8/4) and a one-hour FAMILY GUY (2.0/5) at 9p.
Competition
Due to the nature of live programming, Fast Nationals for ABC are approximate. Following Red Carpet specials at 7p (4.4/14), 730p (5.9/17) and 8p (9.1/23), the 83rd Annual Academy Awards delivered a 10.6/26 from 830-11p, down -20% from last year’s ceremony, which posted a 12.5/30 in the Fast Nationals before rising to a 13.3/33 in the Finals.
While ratings for last night’s Academy Awards will improve in the final nationals, the show will likely remain on the low side of its performance in past years.
Following 60 Minutes Presents at 7p (1.2/4), week two of CBS’ The Amazing Race 18 (2.1/5) fell -16% to its lowest rating ever for a regular original telecast. A repeat Undercover Boss posted a 1.5/4 at 9p, and CSI: Miami (2.0/5) posted its series low for an original telecast at 10p, down -9% from last week’s episode.
NBC aired a repeat Dateline (0.8/2) at 7p and three hours of Minute to Win It encores (0.7/2, 1.1/3, and 0.8/2) from 8-11p.
