Last night, FOX aired originals of the THE SIMPSONS and AMERICAN DAD as well as a one-hour holiday-themed episode of FAMILY GUY.
At 8pm, THE SIMPSONS delivered a 3.3/8 among Adults 18-49, down -21% without the same NFL Over-run lead-in (4.2/11). An hour-long FAMILY GUY followed from 8:30-9:30pm and posted a 4.0/9 among Adults 18-49, up +21% from its last telecast (3.3/8 on 11/21/10).
AMERICAN DAD at 9:30p posted a 3.1/7 among Adults 18-49 — its highest rating in the demo this season – and was up +24% compared to last week (2.5/6).
Encores of RUNNING WILDE (1.2/3) and THE SIMPSONS (1.7/5) aired in the 7p hour. FOX ranked third last night among Adults 18-49 and No. 2 among Adults 18-34 and Teens.
Competition
Following a repeat America’s Funniest Home Videos (2.2/6) and an original Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (2.4/6), ABC’s Desperate Housewives (3.5/8) matched its lowest original rating this season, down -3% from last week. At 10p, Brothers & Sisters (2.5/6) increased +19% from last week’s series low.
Due to an NFL overrun until 7:26p, Fast Nationals for CBS are approximate. From 7-8p, NFL Overrun and 60 Minutes combined to deliver a 5.7/16. From 8-9p, 60 Minutes and the finale of The Amazing Race posted a 3.7/9. (Note – we estimate that the Amazing Race finale will be down -5% from last year’s Fall finale). From 9-10p, The Amazing Race and Undercover Boss combined for a 3.2/7. From 10-11p, Undercover Boss and CSI: Miami combined for a 2.7/7.

Following Football Night In America at 7p (2.5/7), 7:30p (3.9/11) and 8p (5.6/14), NBC’s Sunday Night Football Game 14: Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys posted an 8.5/21 from 8:30-11p, up from last week’s matchup (PIT Steelers vs. BAL Ravens), which delivered a 7.3/18 from 8:30-11p in the Fast Nationals before rising to an 8.3/21 from 8:31-11:37p in the Finals.
