Competition
ABC’s America’s Funniest Home Videos (1.5/4) kicked off the night with its lowest rated season premiere ever, down -21% from its year-ago premiere (1.9/6 on 10/3/10). Extreme Makeover: Home Edition followed at a 2.1/5, up +9%. At 9p, Desperate Housewives (2.9/7, down -9%) posted its lowest rated fall telecast ever, and through two weeks is down -30% from its comparable performance last season (3.1/7 vs. 4.4/10). New drama Pan Am (2.5/6) finished the night down -19% from its debut last week (3.1/8).

Due to an NFL overrun, Fast Nationals for CBS are approximate.  60 Minutes began at 7:23p and the night slid.  Following an NFL Overrun (5.5/16), CBS aired 60 Minutes, 3.5/9 from 7:30-8:30p, The Amazing Race, 3.0/7 from 8:30-9:30p, The Good Wife, 2.1/5 from 9:30-10:30p, and the first half of CSI: Miami, 2.3/6 from 10:30-11:00p.

Due to the nature of live sports, Fast Nationals for NBC are approximate. In addition, note that NBC’s 7p NFL Pre-Game will be sustained by Nielsen. Following Football Night In America at 7p (2.3/7), 730p (3.8/10) and 8p (4.9/12), NBC’s Sunday Night Football Game 4: New York Jets vs. Baltimore Ravens posted a 7.3/17 from 8:30-11p, about even with last week’s Sunday night matchup (PIT Steelers vs. IND Colts), which delivered a 7.2/17 from 8:30-11p in the Fast Nationals before rising to an 8.3/21 from 8:31-11:35p in the Finals.
