FOX Thursday night dramas down slightly after baseball

FOX’s Thursday night dramas returned after a two-week hiatus due to baseball pre-emptions.  According to Live+Same Day Nielsen Ratings, at 8p BONES posted a 2.5/7 among Adults 18-49, down one-tenth and on par with its most recent telecast (10/14/10) and its prior season average (both 2.6/8).  BONES ranked #2 in the hour among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 (tie).


At 9p FRINGE came back to a 1.8/5 among Adults 18-49, down two-tenths from its most recent airing three weeks ago on 10/14/10 (-10%, 2.0/6).


Competition

Following a Grey’s repeat at 8p (1.2/3), ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy (4.3/11) was up +10% and on par with its season average, which through seven weeks is down -21% from its comparable performance last year (4.5/12 vs. 5.7/15). At 10p, Private Practice (3.9/11) rose +44% from last week’s season low.

On CBS, The Big Bang Theory (4.6/14) and $#*! My Dad Says (3.4/10) both gained +10% week over week. CSI (3.3/9) was flat with its prior performance, while The Mentalist (2.9/8) matched its lowest rating ever in the time period, down -9% from last week’s telecast.

NBC’s Community (1.9/6) was down -21% from last week’s Halloween episode (2.4/7). 30 Rock (2.4/7) was up +8%. The Office (3.7/10) grew +9% and Outsourced (2.7/7) and the Apprentice (1.4/4) remained flat week over week.
