Fox w/ 'Bones' takes second-place Thursday

FOX aired originals of its Thursday dramas last night and made gains in the 9pm hour. At 8pm, BONES posted a 2.3/7 among Adults 18-49, the same as last week’s rating.  BONES ranked No. 2 in its hour among Adults 18-49.


At 9pm, FRINGE delivered a 1.9/5 among Adults 18-49, up +6% versus last week (1.8/5).

Competition
Following special repeats of ABC’s Shrek the Halls (1.8/6, down -31% from 12/09/09) and Disney’s Prep & Landing (2.1/6, up +5% from 12/16/09), the Barbara Walters special – Oprah: The Next Chapter drew a 2.9/8.  At 10pm, the Barbara Walters Special: 10 Most Fascinating People of 2010 posted a 3.2/9, flat with last year’s special.

On CBS, The Big Bang Theory (3.8/12) delivered its lowest performance since May 2009, down -12% from its last original. $#*! My Dad Says followed with a series low (2.7/8) down -10% from its last original.  Through ten telecasts, $#*! My Dad Says is down -18% from Survivor’s performance in the 830-9p time period last fall (3.2/9 vs. 3.9/11). CSI (3.0/8) was on par at 9p, while The Mentalist (2.4/7) fell to its lowest performance ever, down -20% from its last original on 11/18/10.

From 8-10p, NBC’s Community (2.0/6), 30 Rock (2.2/6) and a one-hour Office (3.8/10) were all in line with their recent performances. Closing out the night, The Apprentice (1.8/5) delivered an all-time franchise low for a season finale, down from the Celebrity version season-closer last spring (-47%, 3.4/9 on 5/23/10).
