With originals and encores of its animated favorites last night, FOX won the night among Adults 18-34, Teens and Men 18-49/18-34.
At 8p THE SIMPSONS delivered a 2.7/8 among Adults 18-49 (same as last week) and won the half hour among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34, Teens, Women 18-34 and all key male demos. At 8:30p an encore THE CLEVELAND SHOW posted a 2.4/7 among Adults 18-49 and ranked No. 2 in the time period among Adults 18-49 and No. 1 in Adults 18-34, Teens and Men 18-49/18-34.
An encore FAMILY GUY at 9p posted a 2.8/7 among Adults 18-49 and ranked No. 3 in the half hour among Adults 18-49 and No. 1 in Adults 18-34, Teens and Men 18-49/18-34. At 9:30p an original AMERICAN DAD closed the night with a 2.5/6 among Adults 18-49, up +4% from last week (2.4/6) despite its repeat lead-in and ranked No. 3 in the half hour among Adults 18-49 (tie), No. 1 in Adults 18-34 (tie), Teens and Men 18-49/18-34.
TIL DEATH at 7p (0.6/2) and an encore THE SIMPSONS at 7:30p (1.1/3) combined to rank No. 4 in the hour among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 and No. 2 in Teens.
Competition
Following repeats of America’s Funniest Home Videos (1.7/6) and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (1.9/5), ABC’s Desperate Housewives (3.3/8) dropped -6% from its last original on 3/21/10 while Brothers & Sisters (2.2/6) fell -12% from last week’s telecast. Both Desperate Housewives and Brothers & Sisters posted their lowest original ratings ever, dropping -25% and -27% from their prior season averages with first-run episodes (4.4/10 and 3.0/8, respectively).
CBS aired a low 60 Minutes (1.5/5) followed by the 45th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards (3.2/8) which dropped -16% from last year’s telecast (3.8/10 on 4/5/09).
NBC’s Dateline Sunday (1.3/4) was on the high side while Minute To Win It (1.9/5) was on par with its prior season average. From 9-11p, The Apprentice 9: Celebrity Edition (2.6/7) was flat with last week, matching the show’s lowest rating ever with a celebrity cast.
