SYTYCD was the highest rated program of the night in Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens.
In fact, SYTYCD outperformed ABC’s premiere of Duets by +41% in Adults 18-49 (2.4 vs. 1.7) and +75% in Adults 18-34 (2.1 vs. 1.2) in head-to-head competition.
SYTYCD showed substantial growth over the course of its premiere, growing +29% in Adults 18-49 and +56% in Adults 18-34 from its first half hour to its last.
Competition
On ABC, new reality competition series Duets premiered with a 1.7/5 from 8-10pm, down -29% from last summer’s Thurs premiere of Expedition Impossible ( 2.4/7 on 6/23/11). The season three premiere of drama Rookie Blue followed with a 1.4/4 at 10pm, down -13% from its season-two debut last summer (1.6/5 on Thurs 6/23/11).
CBS ran repeats of Big Bang Theory (2.3/8), Rules Of Engagement (1.7/6), Person Of Interest (1.4/4), and The Mentalist (1.5/4).
On NBC, following back-to-back repeats of The Office (0.7/2 each) and a repeat America’s Got Talent (1.2/4), the series finale of Awake (0.9/3) was up +29% from last week’s series low (0.7/2).
