Fox's 90-minutes of 'The X Factor' wins time slot

With THE X FACTOR Top 4 performance show and an original I HATE MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER, FOX won the night among Adults 18-34 and Teens.


THE X FACTOR: 3.4/9, the same as last week (even though television viewing levels from 8-10pm were down -3% versus last Wednesday).

THE X FACTOR ranked #1 for the night among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34, Teens and all female demos.

THE X FACTOR also won its 8-9:30p time slot and outperformed CBS by +10% in Adults 18-49 (3.4/ vs. 3.1) and +80% in Adults 18-34 (2.7 vs. 1.5).

In addition, THE X FACTOR grew +19% in its last half hour vs. its first among Adults 18-49 (half hours: 3.1 > 3.4 > 3.7)

I HATE MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER: 1.9/5, down -10% from last week 

Competition
ABC aired repeats of The Middle (1.7/5), Suburgatory (1.7/5), and Modern Family (2.3/6) from 8-930p. At 930p, Barbara Walters Presents: 10 Most Fascinating People of 2011 (2.3/6) delivered its lowest rated telecast ever, down -28% from last year’s performance (3.2/9 on Thursday 12/9/10).
 
On CBS, Survivor: South Pacific (3.1/9, down -6%) and Criminal Minds (3.4/9, flat) matched season lows. With no original competition in the 10pm hour, CSI (3.0/8) finished the night up +20%.

NBC aired repeats of Up All Night (1.2/4), Whitney (1.1/3), Harry’s Law (0.8/2) and Law & Order: SVU (1.2/3).
