Fox’s BONES and FRINGE ratings score after hiatus

Last night’s, 11/5/09, combination of BONES and FRINGE suffered losses after a two-week hiatus from baseball, but was still up +39% from FOX’s Thursday average last Fall among Adults 18-49 and up +77% from its previous average in Total Viewers.


BONES                             
After two weeks off the air, BONES came back to a 2.5/7 among Adults 18-49 and so far this Fall outperforms its Thursday average last season by +4% among Adults 18-49, +10% among Adults 18-34 and +2% among Total Viewers. 

Compared to FOX’s Fall’08 time period performance with regular programming, BONES is up +65% among Adults 18-49 (2.8/8 vs. 1.7/5), +35% among Adults 18-34 (2.3/7 vs. 1.7/5) and +140% among Total Viewers (9.6 vs. 4.0 Mil). 

FRINGE
FRINGE also returned after a two week hiatus to post a 1.7/4 among Adults 18-49 and so far this season shows substantial gains compared to FOX’s regular programming in the time period last Fall, increasing +21% among Adults 18-49 and +40% in Total Viewers. 

Competition
ABC’s Flash Forward (2.6/7) delivered its lowest rating ever, down -4% from last week’s telecast.  Grey’s Anatomy (5.0/13) matched its lowest original rating ever and posted its lowest rating of 2009/10, dropping -4% from last week.

On CBS, an average Survivor: Samoa (3.7/10) was followed by CSI (3.4/9), which matched its lowest original ever.  At 10p, the Mentalist (3.4/10) was on the low side, down -6% from last week.

NBC’s Community (2.3/6) and Parks & Recreation (2.2/6) were on par while The Office (3.9/10) and 30 Rock (2.9/7) were on the low side, down -7% and -6% week over week. The Jay Leno Show (1.6/5) was in line with its recent performances at 10p.
