Fox's 'Glee' wins the 8 p.m. hour on Tuesday

With all of its Tuesday comedies posting gains, FOX placed second for last night among Adults 18-49 and ranked No. 1 among Adults 18-34 and Teens.


At 8p, GLEE posted a 4.5/12 among Adults 18-49, up +13% from last week, and drew its highest rating ever among Teens. GLEE won the 8pm hour across all major demos and was the highest-rated program of the night among Adults 18-49. In fact, among Adults 18-34 and Teens, GLEE was the highest rated program for the ninth Tuesday this season. 

RAISING HOPE at 9p delivered a 2.7/7 among Adults 18-49, up +8% from last week (2.5/7).  RAISING HOPE posted its highest rating ever among Teens and ranked No. 1 in its half hour among Adults 18-34 and Teens.

At 9:30p, RUNNING WILDE posted a 1.4/4 among Adults 18-49, up +8% from its most recent telecast on 11/9/10 (1.3/3). 

Competition
ABC holiday specials How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2.1/6) and Shrek the Halls (2.4/6) were down -25% and -17%, respectively from their performances last year (2.8/7 and 2.9/7 on Monday 11/30/09). At 9p, No Ordinary Family (1.9/5) was up one tenth from last week but down -17% from its prior season average (2.3/6), while at 10p, Detroit 1-8-7 (1.6/4) posted its lowest rating to date.

CBS’s annual telecast of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer posted a 3.8/11 at 8p. Following an NCIS repeat at 9p (3.0/8), the 2010 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show delivered a 3.4/9, up +17% from last year’s telecast on 12/01/09.   

NBC’s special Christmas in Rockefeller Center ’10 posted a 1.9/5, followed by The Biggest Loser (2.9/8) from 9-11p, which was up +26% from last week’s season low.
