Fox’s ‘House’ and ‘Lie to Me’ combined hit second-place

FOX’s HOUSE encore and LIE TO ME original combined to deliver a 2.2/6 for a second-place finish last night among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens.  


In the 8p hour, an encore HOUSE posted a 2.1/6 among Adults 18-49.  HOUSE ranked third in the 8p hour among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 and No. 1 in Teens.
At 9p LIE TO ME posted a 2.2/6 among Adults 18-49 and ranked No. 2 in the 9p hour among Adults 18-49 and Teens.  Airing without its original HOUSE lead-in last night’s LIE TO ME retained 79% of its prior season average (2.8/7).

Competition

ABC’s Jennifer Hudson holiday special, I’ll Be Home For Christmas (1.2/3) was rated -48% lower among Adults 18-49 and -58% lower among Adults 18-34 than FOX’s Carrie Underwood holiday special on 12/7/09. Week four of new series Find My Family (1.4/3) delivered its lowest rating to date, dropping -7% from last week and showing week-to-week losses with every episode on the air (2.9/7 > 2.0/5 > 1.5/4 > 1.4/3).  A repeat Castle (1.1/3) followed at 10p.

CBS’ How I Met Your Mother (3.9/11), Accidentally on Purpose (3.3/9), Two & A Half Men (5.2/13) and Big Bang Theory (5.6/14) were all above their prior season averages.  At 10p, CSI: Miami posted a 4.1/11.

Night one of NBC’s week-long competition series, The Sing Off posted a 2.3/6 from 8-10p, on par with the debut performance of the network’s most recent
