Fox's premiere of 'Terra Nova' good viewership, third-place


Last night on FOX, the series debut of TERRA NOVA delivered a 3.0/7 among Adults 18-49, in line with other highly-anticipated dramas this season like Persons of Interest and Pan Am (both 3.1).

TERRA NOVA’s 2-hour premiere improved upon FOX’s 2010/11 Monday average by +25% in both Adults 18-49 (3.0/7 vs. 2.4/6) and Total Viewers (9.0 vs. 7.2 Mil.)

In addition, TERRA NOVA held its audience steadily throughout the night with half hour ratings of 3.0 > 3.0 > 3.0 > 3.1 in the core adult demo.

ABC’s Dancing with the Stars (3.3/8) posted its lowest performance show rating ever, down -18% from its premiere last Monday (4.0/10). Castle posted a 2.9/7 at 10p.

Following How I Met Your Mother (4.4/12, down -6%), week two of new CBS comedy 2 Broke Girls (4.5/11) dropped -37% from its series premiere. At 9pm, Two and a Half Men (7.2/17) dropped -33% versus its season premiere last week. The season premiere of Mike & Molly posted a 4.9/11 at 930p, up +26% from last year’s premiere, followed by Hawaii Five-0 (3.3/8) at 10pm.
Week two of NBC’s The Sing Off (1.7/4) dropped -11% and hit its series low while Playboy Club (1.3/3) fell -19% from its series debut.
