Fox's two-hour 'Human Target' fourth place

Human Target should do better once ‘American Idol’ is up and running. Wednesday night FOX aired originals of HUMAN TARGET at 8p and 9p last night and both posted a 1.7/5 among Adults 18-49, up +21% from the show’s last original telecast (vs. 1.4/5 on 12/22/10).


 HUMAN TARGET delivered its highest rated telecasts this year among Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers (behind only the season premiere).

Competition

On ABC, The Middle (2.8/9, up +17%), Better With You (2.5/7, up +14%), Modern Family (4.8/13, up +14%) and Cougar Town (2.9/8, up +12%) all increased from their last originals on 12/08/10 but were on par with their fall averages. At 10p, the ABC News special Primetime: Celebrity Weight Loss – What Really Happens delivered a 1.6/5.

The time period premiere of CBS’s Live To Dance posted a 1.8/5, down -25% from its Tuesday debut (2.4/6) and down -50% from previous timeslot occupant Survivor: Nicaragua’s fall performance (3.6/11).  The 37th Annual People’s Choice Awards posted a 2.7/8 from 9-11p, its second lowest rated telecast ever (behind 1.6/4 during the 2008 writer’s strike).

Following the time period premiere of NBC’s Minute to Win It (2.1/6, down -5%), a two-hour Law & Order: SVU from 9-11p showed a +16% increase (2.9/8) from its last original on 12/01/10.
