Fox's veteran 'House' winner of 8 pm time slot

The return of HOUSE last night posted a 3.6/9, up +6% from its most recent original on 11/22/10 (3.4/9) among Adults 18-49.  HOUSE won the 8pm hour among Adults 18-49, Total Viewers and Adults 18-34.


At 9pm, LIE TO ME delivered a 1.8/4 among Adults 18-49, up +20% from last week (1.5/4). 

FOX ranked No. 2 for the night among Adults 18-49 and No. 1 among Adults 18-34.

Competition
Following ABC’s The Bachelor (2.7/7, down -4%) from 8-10p, a repeat Castle posted a 1.4/4.

Following an original How I Met Your Mother (3.9/10) that was flat with its last telecast, CBS’s Rules Of Engagement (3.2/8, down -6%), Two And A Half Men (4.6/11, down -2%), Mike & Molly (3.8/9, up +3%) and Hawaii Five-0 (2.9/8, flat) finished the night in line with their prior averages.

Through fourteen original telecasts, new series Mike & Molly (3.7/9) and Hawaii Five-0 (3.1/8) are down -29% and -21% from the network’s comparable time period performances last season (The Big Bang Theory: 5.2/12, CSI: Miami: 3.9/10).

On NBC, Chuck returned with a 2.0/5 at 8p, flat with its last original on 11/29/10. At 9p, the time period premiere of The Cape (1.8/4) was down -31% from its two-hour series premiere last Sunday (2.6/7).

Closing out the night, the debut of Harry’s Law (2.1/6) delivered NBC’s lowest ever in-season drama premiere in the Mon/10p time period, down -31% from the Tuesday 10pm premiere of Parenthood on 3/02/10.
