Friday 'Dateline NBC' has solid audience

At 8 p.m. ET, “Friday Night Lights” averaged a 0.7/3 in 18-49 and 3.0 million viewers overall.  Week to week, “FNL” is up 17 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 0.7 from a 0.6) and 22 percent in total viewers (2.999 million vs. 2.453 million).


From 9-11 p.m. ET, “Dateline NBC” (1.5/4 in 18-49, 5.7 million viewers overall) delivered the #1 rating of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW in adults 18-49.  These are “Dateline’s” top Friday 18-49 and total-viewer results in three weeks.  From its first half-hour to its fourth, “Dateline” grew by 33 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.6 from a 1.2) and 26 percent or 1.3 million persons in total viewers (6.2 million vs. 4.9 million).

Week to week, “Dateline NBC” reported a 36 percent jump in 18-49 rating (to a 1.5 from a 1.1) and an increase of 22 percent or 1.0 million persons in total viewers (to 5.700 million from 4.660 million).

In the 10:30 lead-in to local news, “Dateline NBC” delivered a 21 percent margin of victory in the key news demo of adults 25-54 (with a 2.3 rating vs. a 1.9 for ABC’s second-place “20/20”).  “Dateline” also led the 10:30 half-hour in adults and men 18-34; adults, men and women 18-49; and men and women 25-54.
