Friday 'Dateline NBC' takes No. 2 slot

At 8 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of “Up All Night” (0.8/3 in 18-49, 2.9 million viewers overall) matched NBC’s highest 18-49 rating in this time period in 11 weeks (since July 15).
 
At 8:30 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of “Whitney” (0.9/3 in 18-49, 2.8 million viewers overall) built on its 18-49 lead-in by 13 percent in 18-49 rating. 


“Whitney” matched NBC’s highest 18-49 rating in the time period in 15 weeks (since June 17).

From 9-11 p.m. ET, “Dateline NBC” (1.6/5 in 18-49, 6.2 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49 and total viewers.  Versus its 8-10 p.m. telecast on the same night last year, “Dateline NBC” is up 23 percent in 18-49 rating (1.6 vs. 1.3).
 
From its first half-hour to its fourth, “Dateline” grew by 58 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.9 from a 1.2) and by 42 percent or 2.1 million persons in total viewers (7.0 million vs. 4.9 million).  For its second hour from 10-11 p.m., “Dateline NBC” tied for #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 with CBS’s “Blue Bloods.”
