More Than Doubles All Spanish-Language Competition in Total Day and Spanish-Language Primetime Throughout the Quarter.


New Additions to Daytime, Early Fringe and Prime Line-Ups Show Tremendous Growth Versus Last Year’s Time Period Performances.

Galavisión, the undisputed leader among Spanish-language cable networks, announced today it experienced its strongest quarter in history among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 in the first quarter of 2011. Additionally, Galavisión achieved its highest audiences in history among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 in Total Day, according to Nielsen Media Research NPM Most Current Data.

Galavisión was also the #1 cable network regardless of language for Hispanic viewers, topping all other English-language cable networks for delivery of Hispanic audiences:

Galavisión outdelivered all Spanish-language cable competition in Spanish-language Primetime and Total Day and more than doubled the Spanish-language cable competition among nearly all key demos in Spanish-language Primetime and Total Day among Total Hispanic Viewers 2+, Hispanic Adults 18-49 and Hispanic Adults 18-34.

Galavisión continues to significantly outperform the competition and delivers:
More than three times the viewers of Discovery en Español in Total Day; double their audience in Spanish-language Primetime

More than four times the Total Day audience of ESPN Deportes; in Spanish-language primetime, more than 3X the viewers

More than three times the audience of Fox Deportes in Total Day; more than twice the audience in Spanish-language Primetime

More than 10 times GolTV’s audience in both Total Day and Spanish-language Primetime

More than six times the viewers of Tr3s in Total Day; more than four times the viewers in Spanish-language Primetime

New additions to Galavisión’s Daytime, Early Fringe and Spanish-language Primetime line-ups have shown tremendous growth versus last year’s time period performances – as much as 766%. Among the new additions:

“Se Vale” (Mon-Fri, 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM) 129% among Persons 2+, 180% among Adults 18-49 and 332% among Adults 18-34.

“El Chavo” (Mon-Fri 6PM – 7PM) 713% among Persons 2+, 625% among Adults 18-49 and 766% among Adults 18-34.

“Sabías Que” / “Detras del Saber” (Mon- Thurs 8PM – 9PM) 12% among Persons 2+, 11% among Adults 18-49 and 26% among Adults 18-34.
