Radio One announced that Gary Gunter has been named Vice President and General Manager of its St. Louis radio stations. Gary is a 25-year veteran of radio sales/marketing and has received numerous awards. Gary formerly held several positions with the company. From 2011 to 2013, he was GSM in Baltimore. From 2006 to 2008, he served as GSM for their stations in Detroit.
In 2013, Gary left Radio One to become manager of Martz Communications Group’s stations in Pittsburgh. He was responsible for developing and growing the station’s brand, revenue and audience share by creating and implementing strategic and tactical direction.
“Gary was a valued member of Radio One in our Detroit and Baltimore markets. It will be fantastic to welcome him back, this time leading our St. Louis Cluster,” said Jeffrey Wilson, Regional Vice President.
