FCC Chairman will be the lone witness as the Senate Commerce Committee takes a look at the National Broadband Plan, a hearing that was originally scheduled back in March. Meanwhile, another hearing is off, for now.

The Senate session, under the gavel of Committee Chair Jay Rockefeller (D-WV), will kick off at 2:30 PM on Wednesday 4/14/10.

The House Subcommittee on Communications, Technology and the Internet was scheduled to hold its second NBP hearing the following day, Thursday, 4/15/10, under the leadership of Chairman Rick Boucher (D-VA). The hearing, the focus of which was indicated by its title, “The National Broadband Plan: Competitive Availability of Navigation Devices,” has been postponed indefinitely. The Committee never got around to naming its scheduled witnesses.
