Getty Images to distribute NBCUniversal photos

NBCGetty Images Inc. announced a global distribution partnership with NBCUniversal. Under the terms of the agreement, Getty Images will have exclusive rights to license imagery, including production stills, on-set and behind the scenes, portraiture from NBCU’s extensive lineup of programming.


The photo inventory, as noted by Getty, includes images from such properties as NBC’s “The Voice,” “Smash,” “The Office,” “30 Rock,” “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” “The Biggest Loser,” “The Celebrity Apprentice,” “America’s Got Talent,” “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” “Last Call with Carson Daly” and “Saturday Night Live,” among others.

The NBCUniversal collection launches with approximately 270,000 images and is available online.

The NBCUniversal archive dates back to 1926 to the dawn of broadcasting history.  As the pioneer broadcasting network, the NBC collection has millions of assets that includes photography ranging from the Golden Age of radio, early television, late night, NBC News, NBC Sports, as well as old and new classic series from “Bonanza,” “Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In” and “Saturday Night Live” to “The Cosby Show,” “Friends” and “Seinfeld.”  In addition, the archive contains still photography from NBC News and NBC Sports programming broadcasts, as well as, recent photography from its family of networks, including Bravo, USA Network, Syfy, Oxygen, E!, Style, G4, Telemundo, mun2, MSNBC and CNBC.
