The Chairman/CEO of growing MVPD Altice USA has been tapped to deliver a Keynote address on the subject of “Global Growth and the Future of Media” at the 2017 NAB Show in Las Vegas.
Dexter Goei, who also serves as board president of Dutch parent Altice N.V., will deliver his address on Tuesday, April 25 from noon-12:30pm at the conference, one of the TV industry’s biggest.
Discussion will focus on how global media companies are emerging as new leaders in the television market. Goei will also share with NAB attendees what he sees are the opportunities global media companies bring to the American television market and how they can serve an increasingly diverse American audience. How global media companies are affecting decisions about content, products, new technologies and media, while improving and enhancing the customer’s experience, is at the heart of Goei’s address.
Altice USA, thanks to its recent acquisitions of Optimum and Suddenlink systems, is now the country’s fourth largest operator of cable telecommunications systems.
“The whole beauty of NAB Show is that it brings together a diverse range of voices from all sides of the media and entertainment spectrum, and hosting a standout voice in the pay TV sector is a testament to that,” said Chris Brown, who serves as the NAB’s EVP of Conventions and Business Operations. “To that end, we are very excited to have Dexter Goei – one of cable telecommunications’ greatest leaders – for a keynote discussion on the global growth of media companies at this year’s show.”
Prior to joining Altice as its CEO in 2009, Goei spent 15 years in investment banking with JP Morgan and then Morgan Stanley in their Media and Communications Group.
Altice entered the U.S. market with the acquisitions of Suddenlink Communications in 2015 and the Dolan Family’s Cablevision Systems Corp. in 2016, forming Altice USA.
