The Broadcasters Foundation of America has named as its 2009 recipients of the Golden Mike Award the people behind Greater Media, CEO Peter Smyth and the founding Bordes Family. They will be honored February 23rd as a black-tie gala at the Waldorf Astoria in New York. The late Peter Bordes co-founded Greater Media in 1956. Today it comprises 23 radio stations in five markets, a group of weekly newspapers in New Jersey and several communications towers.
