Better than expected news about consumer spending and manufacturing inspired investors to put more money into Wall Street. And it didn’t hurt that investment guru Warren Buffett came to the defense of Goldman Sachs. But the good news didn’t do much for broadcasters. Radio was only slightly up, and TV was slightly down. But that’s as a pair of groups – within each, there were some wild swings.
The RBR Radio Index rose 0.616, or 0.2%, to 408.252.
The TVBR Television Index fell 0.299, or 0.1%, to 218.424.
