In late September, it became known that the licensee behind “Newsradio 620” WTMJ-AM in Milwaukee and the market’s ESPN Radio affiliates is taking a further step into the spoken word arena by committing to the launch by year’s end of a locally programmed Talk station serving the African American community.
On Monday (11/9), that operator, Good Karma Brands, took a necessary step toward reaching that goal by filing paperwork with the FCC reflecting its purchase of the AM and FM translator that will house the new programming.
It then filed paperwork for the transfer of a Madison, Wisc., AM and FM translator by Good Karma to the owner of the Milwaukee facilities it’s purchasing.
