The new facility was built with funding from a capital campaign that is now within $530,000 of its $6.5 million goal. NHPR must meet that goal by April 1, 2009 to qualify for a $250,000 Kresge Foundation challenge grant.

NHPR’s production and broadcast center will be home for up to 75 reporters, producers, hosts, and administrative staff. The construction was performed by North Branch Construction of Concord, NN. The facility was designed by C.S. Carley Associates, a Concord-based architecture firm, in association with Russ Berger Design Group, specialists in architectural acoustics, based in Dallas, TX. Construction broke ground in June of 2008, and the finishing touches on the environmentally sensitive facility will be in place by April, 2009.
