When it came time for Gray Television to select a GM for its two Knoxville, Tenn., TV stations, it looked no further than its Station Manager.

Jasmine Hatcher Hardin is the new General Manager for CBS affiliate WVLT and WBXX, which airs programming from The CW. She assumes her new duties on Jan. 1, 2018, and
succeeds Chris Baker.

Baker recently announced his retirement after more than 20 years with Gray, including 19 years as GM of WVLT. During Baker’s tenure, Gray created a legal duopoly with WBXX.

Hardin has also concurrently served as the two stations’ GSM, a role she earned in 2013.

Hardin began her broadcasting career with TEGNA’s crosstown WBIR-TV and worked at WXIA-TV in Atlanta before joining WVLT in 2006 as National Sales Manager.
