HC2 Closing Brings Music City To Falcone


In September 2018, HC2 Holdings — the owner of the Azteca América broadcast TV network — revealed that its picking up a full-powered UHF facility in a Southern metropolis with a growing Hispanic population.

The entity headed by Philip Falcone has just closed on the property.

In a deal that sees Greg Guy at Patrick Communications serve as the exclusive broker, HC2 is now formally the owner of WJFB-44 in Nashville.

The seller is Tri-State Christian Television (TCT), via Radiant Life Ministries Inc.

HC2 paid $5,750,000 to acquire the station in DMA No. 27.

WJFB has served Music City with Christian-themed programming on its main signal and, in standard definition, on its DT-2 signal. WJFB DT-3 is the home of the Light TV digital multicast network.
