Hearst Corporation announced a tender offer for all of the shares of Hearst-Argyle Television that it doesn’t already own. That’s a premium of 91% over Tuesday’s closing price. It’s also considerably below the $23.50 per share that Hearst Corp. offered in 2007 — a bid that was turned down as too low.
