The individual who has served as VP/Sales of Hearst Television since 2014 has just been promoted to SVP/Sales.

Eric J. Meyrowitz will maintain oversight of the sales operations of the company’s television and radio stations and various web platforms. He continues to report to Jordan Wertlieb, President of Hearst Television.

“In a quickly evolving media landscape, Eric continues to provide forward-thinking, customer-focused leadership of our sales and audience research teams,” Wertlieb said.  “Eric and his colleagues have positioned Hearst Television for a very bright future as we expand our business across existing and emerging platforms.”

Meyrowitz returned to Hearst Television in 2014 after having served as VP/GM of WPIX-11 in New York, a Tribune Media station. From 1997 to 2000, he served as national sales manager for Hearst’s WBAL-11, the NBC affiliate in Baltimore.

Meyrowitz’ resume also includes a six-year run as VP/GM of WDCW-50, the CW affiliate in Washington, DC, where he started as LSM and then GSM.

He began his television sales career as an analyst and, later, account executive, in New York at HRP, now a unit of Cox Reps.
