A 21-year media veteran who most recently served as Market President for iHeartMedia’s Norfolk station group has been called back to St. Louis to bring a little more spirit to a five-market region.

Effective immediately, Derrick Martin will serve as Region President for iHeart’s St. Louis Region. He’ll be based in the Gateway City, and gains oversight for 33 radio stations in not only St. Louis, but also Des Moines, Cedar Rapids-Iowa City and Davenport, Iowa; and Springfield, Mo.

Martin served as iHeartRadio’s St. Louis GSM for five years until shifting to Virginia’s Tidewater region.

He now reports to Tom McConnell, who serves as President of the Midwest/Southeast Division for iHeartMedia.

“I’m very excited to have Derrick return to the St. Louis Region in this important role leading our brands,” said McConnell. “He has a proven track record of success and understands how to build and maintain a strong culture that rewards innovation and team work.”

Martin began his career with iHeart, as an AE at its Memphis station group. He has also been an Interactive Sales General Manager for Radio One.
