It’s a new set of duties for the new year for Gaye Hirsch.

Effective immediately, she’s now EVP/Development at The CW, overseeing all scripted and alternative series development for the network, as well as current alternative series and specials.

Hirsch has served as SVP/Scripted Development for the network, and has been closely involved in the development of all The CW’s scripted series, including Jane The Virgin and Arrow.

Hirsch transitioned into scripted development at The CW in 2009, after serving in the network’s current programming department as SVP, where she oversaw the day-to-day production on CW series, including Gossip Girl.

She joined The CW in 2006 as VP/Current Programming following a six-year run as Senior Executive for Cruise/Wagner Productions. Before that, she was VP/Production for HBO Films, and began her career at Touchstone Pictures, where she rose to VP/Production before her exit.

Hirsch assumes a role at The CW that had been held until May 2017 by Thom Sherman, now with CBS.
