Broadcast Media’s Twin Towers Of Advertising: Big On Radio

It is no secret that The Home Depot and GEICO are two of the most active users of broadcast media to reach consumers. Their advertising campaigns are typically larger than most other brands, and for the week ending Sept. 1, that was no different.

The home retailer was a big user of radio — with Hurricane Dorian threatening nearly all of the Southeastern U.S. Some 64,305 spot plays were detected by Media Monitors.

For GEICO, the category leader saw some 52,425 spot plays during the week.

Also active: Macy’s, with back-to-school campaigns and a big suit sale among its power points for bargain seekers.
