Home Improvement Brands Bet On Radio


It’s a sure bet that The Home Depot will be up there with GEICO as one of the most active brands using spot radio to reach consumers throughout 2018.

The auto insurance and home improvement categories remain highly competitive, and the latter saw a big boost in spot plays in the week leading in to Memorial Day.

The dominant No. 1 once again is The Home Depot, checking in for the week ending Sunday, May 27 with 87,697 on the Media Monitors Spot Ten Radio report.

But, when discounting iHeartRadio spots, look at what brand is No. 2: Lowe’s, the largest national competitor to The Home Depot. They roar in to the Spot Ten, but trail in spot count to The Home Depot by a wide margin.

GEICO is No. 4, and this week is the lone brand in its category in the Spot 10.

Big entries from AutoZone and Pepsi also mark the final week before summer and — yes — Back-to-School campaigns start to get their media buys finalized.
