Cox Media Group Tampa’s New Hot 101.5 will go commercial free for an entire day on July 4th to celebrate the station’s one year birthday and Independence Day. Last July, The New Hot 101.5 debuted as Tampa Bay’s first new hit music station in 22 years. As part of the historic launch, Hot played 10,000 songs in a row completely commercial free. In the past year, Hot 101.5 has built its reputation as the station that plays the most music with “101 Minutes Commercial Free” throughout the day. Now, to mark its one year anniversary on the air, Hot 101.5 will be completely commercial free and all music for an entire day.
“We thought this would be a great way to thank our listeners for the past year” said Tim Clarke, Hot 101.5 Program Director. Clarke added “Our very active audience will be out and about on the 4th and now they will enjoy nonstop music to celebrate the holiday.”
