House Energy and Commerce chair Henry Waxman (D-CA) expressed his pleasure with the Senate action to delay the DTV deadline, and decided that instead of putting together an alternative, he’d try to take the Senate version straight to the House floor. “I am pleased that the Senate has acted to delay the deadline, which is our only hope of mitigating the negative impact on millions of consumers.” He cancelled his markup, and action from the full House is pending.
