House is back for Fox

HOUSE returned last night from a two-month break and was the #1 program of the night in Adults 18-49, posting its highest rating since 10/17/11.  Together with a strong week two of ALCATRAZ, FOX’s dramas won the night among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Total Viewers.


In addition, ALCATRAZ is one of only three new dramas this season to post a 3.0 rating or more in its second week (TERRA NOVA and Once Upon A Time are the other two).

* HOUSE: 3.1/8, up +19% from its last telecast (2.6/6 on 11/28/11)        
o HOUSE ranked #1 in its hour in Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Total Viewers 
o With 8.7 million Total Viewers, HOUSE drew its largest audience since its premiere on 10/3/11
      
* ALCATRAZ: 3.0/7, down -9% from its two-hour series debut last week (3.3/8, 8-10p) 
o ALCATRAZ won its hour among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens  
o Was the highest-rated program of the night in Adults 18-34, Teens and key male demos.

Competition

ABC’s The Bachelor (2.7/7) gained +13% from last week, but through four weeks is down -14% from its comparable average last year (2.4/6 vs. 2.8/7). Castle (2.1/5) dropped -5% versus last week.

CBS ran repeats of How I Met Your Mother (2.3/6), 2 Broke Girls (2.6/6), Two & A Half Men (2.9/7), Mike & Molly (2.4/6), and Hawaii Five-0 (1.6/4).

On NBC, following Who’s Still Standing (1.7/4, up +6%) at 8p, Rock Center with Brian Williams: NBC News Republican Candidates Debate posted a 1.6/4 from 9-11p, up +23% from two weeks ago.
