CBS’s Monday comedies posted strong ratings opposite Game 5 of the World Series with HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER and ACCIDENTALLY ON PURPOSE delivering their largest audiences of the season, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Nov. 2.

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER (5.6/08, 9.05m) was second in adults 18-49 (3.5/09) and adults 18-34 (3.1/09). HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER delivered its largest audience since its season premiere on 9/21/09.
ACCIDENTALLY ON PURPOSE (5/3/08, 8.54m) averaged 3.8/08 in adults 25-54, 3.2/08 in adults 18-49 and 2.6/07 in adults 18-34. ACCIDENTALLY ON PURPOSE notched its best delivery to date with adults 18-34 and posted its best performance since its premiere in viewers and adults 25-54.
TWO AND A HALF MEN (8.4/12, 13/60m) was first in adults 25-54 (5.6/12), second in adults 18-49 (4.4/11) and adults 18-34 (3.0/08).
THE BIG BANG THEORY (7.7/12, 12.66m) was first in adults 25-54 (5.6/12), second in adults 18-49 (4.6/11, -0.1 behind FOX’s tentative baseball delivery) and adults 18-34 (3.5/09). THE BIG BANG THEORY built on its TWO AND A HALF MEN lead-in by +5% in adults 18-49, +17% in adults 18-34 and retained 100% of its lead-in with adults 25-54.
