CBS had its biggest Monday in nearly a year as all four comedies hit season highs in viewers with HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER and TWO AND A HALF MEN delivering their highest adult 18-49 ratings of the season and THE BIG BANG THEORY and ACCIDENTALLY ON PURPOSE matching series bests in adults 18-49, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Dec. 14.

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER was first in households (6.2/10), viewers (10.22m), adults 25-54 (4.5/11), adults 18-49 (3.9/11) and adults 18-34 (3.5/11).  Compared to last week, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER was up +17% in households (from 5.3/08), +10% in adults 25-54 (from 4.1/10), +11% in adults 18-49 (from 3.5/10), +6% in adults 18-34 (from 3.3/10) and added +1.43m viewers (from 8.79m, +16%).  If the ratings hold, this is HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER’s best delivery in households and viewers since March 2, 2009, best delivery in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 since April 13, 2009. 
 
ACCIDENTALLY ON PURPOSE was first in households (5.8/09), viewers (9.33m), adults 25-54 (4.0/09), adults 18-49 (3.3/09) and adults 18-34 (2.6/08).  Compared to last week, ACCIDENTALLY ON PURPOSE was up +21% in households (from 4.8/07), +14% in adults 25-54 (from 3.5/08), +18% in both adults 18-49 (from 2.8/07) and adults 18-34 (from 2.2/06) and added +1.42m viewers (from 7.91m, +18%).  If the ratings hold, these are series highs in households, viewers and adults 25-54, match series highs in adults 18-49 and adults 18-34.
 
TWO AND A HALF MEN was first in households (9.8/15), viewers (16.33m), adults 25-54 (6.4/15), adults 18-49 (5.2/15) and adults 18-34 (3.9/11).  Compared to last week, TWO AND A HALF MEN was up +11% in households (from 8.8/13), +3% in adults 25-54 (from 6.2/14), +4% in adults 18-49 (from 5.0/12), +8% in adults 18-34 (from 3.6/10) and added +1.49m viewers (from 14.84m, +10%).  These was TWO AND A HALF MEN’s best delivery in households, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 since May 18, 2009, in viewers since February 2, 2009 and in adults 18-34 since March 6 2005. 
 
THE BIG BANG THEORY was first in households (9.3/14), viewers (15.56m), adults 25-54 (6.8/15), adults 18-49 (5.6/14) and adults 18-34 (4.3/12).  THE BIG BANG THEORY improved on its TWO AND A HALF MEN lead-in by +6% in adults 25-54, +8% in adults 18-49 and +10% in adults 18-34.  Compared to last week, THE BIG BANG THEORY was up +11% in households (from 8.4/13), +5% in adults 25-54 (from 6.5/14), even in adults 18-49, down -4% in adults 18-34 (from 4.5/12) and added +1.18m viewers (from 14.38m, +8%).  These were series highs for THE BIG BANG THEORY in viewers and adults 25-54, matched last week’s series high in adults 18-49 and is the program’s second best adults 18-34 performance (behind last week). 
 
CSI: MIAMI was first in households (8.9/15), viewers (14.06m), adults 25-54 (5.1/13), adults 18-49 (4.1/11) and adults 18-34 (3.1/09).  Compared to last week, CSI: MIAMI was up +11% each in households (from 8.0/13), adults 25-54 (from 4.6/11), adults 18-49 (from 3.7/10) and adults 18-34 (from 2.8/08) and added +1.34m viewers (from 12.72m, +11%). 
 
For the night, CBS was first in households (8.1/13), viewers (13.36m), adults 25-54 (5.3/13), adults 18-49 (4.4/11) and adults 18-34 (3.4/10) for the second consecutive week.  This was CBS’s best Monday delivery in households, viewers and adults 25-54 since February 2, 2009, in adult 18-49 since January 12, 2009 and in adults 18-34 since February 12, 2007.
