Hyundai Veloster to incorporate Pandora in dash controls

The new 2012 Veloster from Hyundai is standing out this week at the Detroit Auto Show with its third-door on the coupe’s passenger side, but it’s also the latest to come with dashboard-support for Pandora, after Toyota, Mini, Ford, Mercedes, BMW and others.

Hyundai’s in-car Internet radio system uses a smartphone to connect to the internet, and then the driver can control Pandora playback using dashboard controls, when paired to that iPhone, Android, or Blackberry running the app. The vehicle has the standard array of Bluetooth (hands-free and audio streaming to listen to any net radio app), USB, and iPod connectivity. There’s also Gracenote automatic playlisting, which can be used to verbally access media on a connected device.
