The Intergovernmental Advisory Committee has strongly advised the FCC to abandon its proposed presumption of MVPD competition for a laundry list of reasons – one of which is so fundamental it is awesome that the FCC didn’t think of it all by itself.
At a basic level, IAC said that the presumption was not prescribed by Congress and at the very least needs more thorough consideration.
