The Fourth Judicial District of Ada County, Idaho ordered that KDJQ-AM Meridian ID be put into receivership and sold back on 11/26/09 – and now that project has been accomplished, pending FCC approval. A veteran of the radio business has stepped forward to acquire the station.

The court appointed broker Greg Merrill of Media Services Group to be receiver for the station, and he’s been doing business as Tri State Management LLC.

The buyer is Terry Mathis. According to Merrill, he has 16 years of hands-on radio experience working for Citadel in the Salt Lake City market. Moreover, his father, mother and brother have also owned radio stations. KDJQ will mark Terry Mathis’s first foray into ownership.

The price is $139.5K cash.

The station is in the Boise market. It’s a Class B on 890 kHz with 50 kW-D, and 250 W-N. It uses a directional antenna at night only.
