The elimination of the 3rd-place finisher, setting the stage for next weeks’ finale, drew a huge audience for “American Idol” on Fox. The season finale of “The Big Bang Theory” on CBS didn’t stand a chance, although it was up and the Eye Network claimed second place for the night.
