iHeart’s Latest Fight: It’s Right To Moelis and LionTree


A battle royale is brewing in Houston, home to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas. That’s the venue where a judge is considering the restructuring plan proposed by iHeartMedia, which is now officially trading as “IHRTQ” on the OTC Pink exchange in recognition of its debtor-in-possession status.

The next two weeks will prove to be busy for the court, and for the nation’s largest radio broadcasting company, as its request to retain two financial advisory firms has come into question by a key group of creditors. On Sunday, iHeart objected to two separate objections filed with the court last week by the creditors.
