It’s the owner of former Cox Media Group stations that made its mark as the owner of the MVPD-distributed INSP channel.

Imagicomm Communications today owns broadcast television stations from the Mississippi to the Redwood Forest. Now, it’s named a new GM in Memphis.

Kyle Krebs has been named General Manager of WHBQ-TV, branded as “FOX13.”

“The addition of Krebs further bolsters the leadership team as Imagicomm continues to build its broadcast presence in the U.S.,” said Becky Swan, Imagicomm’s SVP of Broadcast Television for Local Markets. “Kyle is a seasoned 35-year media professional with more than 32 years in key management roles.”

Krebs joins WHBQ from “CBS42,” Nexstar Media Group’s WIAT-TV in Birmingham, where he served as General Sales Manager. “I could not be more pleased he has chosen to join the Imagicomm Communications family,” Imagicomm COO Dale Ardizzone said of Krebs’ arrival at FOX13. “Kyle’s experience, passion and commitment to community involvement made him an ideal fit for this position. He embodies the principles and integrity the citizens of Memphis need and should expect from those who deliver local news.”

Krebs’ resume includes roles as Director of Local Sales for KXAS-TV & KXTX-TV, the NBC and Telemundo O&Os in Dallas; and as VP/GM of ABC affiliate KTXS-TV in Abilene, Tex., under Bonten Media ownership. He began his career in 1987 as an Account Executive with WFAA-8 in Dallas — then owned by Belo Broadcasting.
