IMGIMG College announced a new strategy for optimizing its coast-to-coast radio network, naming Eddie (“Eddie Q”) Quagliariello to VP, National Radio Sales.

Quagliariello, a seasoned radio veteran with more than 20 years of experience at WestwoodOne, will develop opportunities for national brands to advertise on the nation’s largest independent sports radio network. IMG Audio produces nearly 35,000 hours of radio programming for 2,200 stations coast to coast. The programming is also heard on the web via streaming audio and digital platforms as well as satellite radio.

“IMG Audio has great stations carrying games from the country’s most popular schools. While we’ve traditionally viewed and sold radio as separate local and regional networks, there is a tremendous opportunity to fuse our inventory together to create a true national network,” said Ben Sutton Jr., President of IMG College. “Under Eddie Quagliariello’s leadership, we will combine games, concepts and station inventory into national packages for sponsors. This is the latest refinement of our national marketing platform giving marketers access to 190 million college sports fans.”

Quagliariello will be based in NYC, reporting to Andrew Judelson, SVP of National Sales for IMG College and US Business Development for IMG Worldwide. At Westwood One, Quagliariello was most recently Senior Vice President/National Sponsorship Sales, working with clients/agencies on national customized campaigns for NFL, NCAA Basketball, Olympics, and News-Talk programs.

IMG Audio, from its studios in Winston-Salem, NC, operates the nation’s largest independent sports radio network, including broadcasts for schools such as Notre Dame, whose broad national network included 20 of the top 25 U.S. markets in 2013.
