A bipartisan quartet of senators want to find out which slices of wireless spectrum are being used for what, with an eye toward using it more efficiently, and are tasking the FCC and Commerce Department with a full accounting. Spectrum assigned to radio and television broadcasters is part of the project. The quarter includes John Kerry, (D-MA), Olympia Snowe, (R-ME), Bill Nelson, (D-FL), and Roger Wicker, (R-MS).
